FLOAT GLASS

Description

Float glass is the most commonly used type of glass; it is the basic component used in glass processing. It is a flat glass manufactured by floating in a tank furnace. It was invented in England by Pilkington in the 1960s.

Frame float: 2 mm thick glass
Clear float: custom cut in our workshops for thicknesses ranging from 3 mm to 19 mm*
Extra-clear float glass: highly transparent, low-iron glass (without the green tint of ordinary glass). Particularly suitable for printing on glass.

It allows for very high light transmission and high energy transmission. In stock from 4 to 19 mm*
